Geriatric Blood Tests are used to detect diseases and
organ failures in our pets as they age.
These tests can detect conditions such as kidney disease,
liver disease, diabetes, abnormalities with electrolytes
(potassium, sodium, calcium), diseases of the blood
stream (anemia/ low red blood cells, leukemia,
infection), thyroid problems, etc.
When caught early, these conditions are better treated,
and sometimes cured. Pets with long standing conditions
that go unnoticed, tend to have more difficulty recovering
from the conditions if they are too far advanced.
